White and cream "Charlie" Jacket
This oversized casual jacket is based on a classic denim jacket, only with exaggerated proportions and a lightweight feel. It has a dropped shoulder line and generous sleeve width and meant to be worn oversized. This jacket was seen for the first time on the catwalk during London Fashion Week.
Key details include arrow shaped patch pockets on the front chest.
The main body is fabricated in a mix of cottons and 'ribbons' stitched together to create a new and unique fabric. The intricate cream and white textile combinations are hand-made in our studio, before being cut and stitched into the piece that you see here.
The sleeves are made from another hand crafted textile technique, using a die cut circular pattern, and are lined with a contrasting orange cotton to complete this eye catching, yet subtle jacket. As you move, the circles move around like scales.
'Charlie' uses buttons up the centre front and cuffs to close, and is beautifully bound and fully lined inside in white cotton. Intricate both inside and out!
Our "Charlie" jacket is worn here with our "Burell" trousers.
