The “Florence” hood is a mix between a hat and a piece of body wear - a hood that slips over the head, and held in place but a zip up waistband that wraps from the front. From the back, the hood appears to float, its double =bonded fabric keeping its sturdy structure to cast a distinctive silhouette. Named after Florence Nightingale and her nurse's attire and shown on the catwalk for AW17.

Red and Black Tartan Wool "Florence" Hood

We are delighted to announce that the black and cream colourway of this piece is featured in the MET exhibition "HEAVENLY BODIES" Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. On from May-October.

The Florence hood is a curious mix between a hat and a piece of body wear. Named as such because of Florence Nightingale, this piece is double bonded to give it rigidity.

Florence slips over the head and is kept in place by the waistband that zips up through the centre back.

Fabricated here in a bonded red and black tartan wool, and worn on our AW catwalk over the Contour dress.
